Reconstruction of a sheepfold/cheese dairy of Aulon
Contexte :
Following the destruction of a cheese dairy/sheepfold and the damage of several buildings and infrastructures in the Pyrenean village of Aulon, Engineerisk has been chosen to retro-analyze the avalanche event and to define the recommendations:
- To re-build the sheepfold
- To strengthen the security of the village center
- Work provided by Engineerisk:
- - Observations and field surveys with modeling in order to characterize the destructive flow
- - Interpretation and restitution of the results in the form of a map (of intensity) and accurate architectural prescriptions to find the best and nearest place
- - Consider dense AND powder (aerosol) flows
- - Interaction with the Mayor and architect office to determine a new functional and safe project thanks to a ‘’self-protected’’ structure and related dams.
